aku dah lama mencarik dvd ni..tapi memang tak berjumpa..pergi jbhifi pon salesgirl yang dress up ala-ala gothic tu cakap dah takde salinan baru lagi untuk filem ni...jadi aku pon mengambil keputusan secara pejam mata dengan membeli dvd all about my mother atau dalam bahasa sepanyolnya todo sobre mi madre melalui talian...mula-mula aku pesan kat e-bay sebab murah...sekali jer store tu buat hal cakap dah habis stock..so depa pulangkan duit aku semula...jadik aku pon order kat amazon..tup-tup confirm ada...dan semalam sampai...tapi habis ler jugak duit aku dekat AUD50 semata-mata nak beli dvd ni...tak silap aku tengok filem ni kat sbs tahun 2006...dekat tiga tahun yang lalu..waktu tu winter...menurut christine, aku perlu menonton Elegi, juga sentuhan pengarah yang sama, yang menjayakan filem all about my mother ini - pedro almodovar. Disebabkan aku bukanlah pakar dalam filem, jadi aku tak dapat laa nak cakap banyak filem ni kisah tentang apa...yang aku tahu ceritanya agak kompleks dan penuh dengan unsur melodrama...tu yang buat aku suka dan tak sabar nak tengok...aku sertakan sinopsisnya yang aku petik dari laman web sbs -- Following the accidental death of her 17 year old son, Esteban, hospital worker and single mother Manuela leaves Madrid for Barcelona, on a search for the man she left all those years ago - Esteban, now called Lola . Along the way she encounters an old friend now known as the drag queen 'La Agrado' , distinguished actress Huma Rojo, whom her son adored, Nina, a troubled drug addict who lives with Huma, and Hermana Rosa, a young nun pregnant to none other than Lola. Manuela's journey is as much for her son's sake as her own - indeed, entirely for his, fuelled by the boy's pain at never having met his own father.

The word I hate most..

I think it has been a while for me not to update anything in my blogs due to my 'heavy duty' task at the moment. This task is certainly driving me mad sometimes. Perhaps, I shall stop to do my routine job next time and focus to something else which is more fun and probably reduce my stress. I talked to my mentor yesterday about what I have been doing in my research and suprisingly she even suggested many new ideas for me to think about. However, those suggestions will need me to refashioning my topics and again I have to read, read and read..argghh....this is the most thing I hate in this world but I do not have any much choices. So, I have to take this as part of my habits. Okay, stop talking this issues and lets start with another stories.

I watched Les Choristes (2004) a few weeks ago. It is a story about two middle-aged men, the renowned French conductor Pierre Morhange and an old friend, Pépinot, reminisce about their days at a boarding school for boys. For me this is a very good movie to watch. It shall make you smile in the beginning and cry at the end of the story. The main character, a music teacher Clément Mathieu really enlightened my soul about the sacrifiying of being the sincere educator. Meanwhile, in the next two days, all schools in Malaysia will celebrate Teachers Day. I still remember my previous school life in Kota Tinggi Johor. The most day which I shall not forget. Everyday I have to wake up about 6 am early in the morning to get prepared for school and everything. By 6:30, I have to walk about 2km before I reach the school with 30 cent (you know, duit belanja) for food during recess.

The class and the teacher, well..more affective rather than what our school kids have nowadays. Being a country school kids, as I was, I would never ever believe that myself shall be admitted to the prestige local university one day. I did not study very hard in the primary school and as a result my major exam was not tremendously went very well. For me, life is simple and we do not have to attempt for everything. When I was in secondary school, a few teachers of mine encouraged me and other students in my class to change our life as poor, hopeless country kids and become more passionate about knowledge and being useful humankind in the future. One of them whispered to me and said "life is a challenge and it is depend on you to make them good or bad".

I would like to thanks all the teachers who had responsibled to show me the right path and changed my life. I knew life is not easy as we might think but challenge is fun, really...for all my teachers out there..there is no much words to say here..thank you..so very much.

laputa

Pagi-pagi lagi Nick dah datang kat flat pass kat aku finalised cut untuk portrait documentary..waktu aku minta Miriam tengok kat studio tadi, dia asyik cakap oohhhhh....ahhhhhhh...kerana terlalu asyik melihat keunikan warna dan corak rekaan objek pada tubuh manusia..tak sia-sia aku buat dokumentari ni dengan Nick..at least ada juga idea baru terutama dari segi suntingan dan pencahayaan...

Sebelum jumpa Cole tadi aku ke Marion Shopping Centre sebentar untuk beli Laputa salah satu karya besar oleh Hayao Miyazaki...aku mesti menontonnya sekali lagi sebelum bercerita panjang lebar dengan Christine..seronok betul ada member yang punya minat yang sama...aku gemarkan plot dan story line Laputa yang agak berbeza dengan Totoro dan Sprited Away..sungguh pun kebanyakan latar yang dipersembahkan lebih bersifat Eropah dan barat, namun unsur-unsur ketimuran terutamanya kebudayaan Jepun masih ada...walaupun ia tidak seketara dalam Spirited Away, Totoro atau pun Princess Mononoke.

Semalam aku berbual dengan John McConchie..menurut beliau karya Miyazaki hanya diterima oleh segolongan kategori dari jumlah audiens di Australia...ia tidaklah menghairankan kerana kebanyakan kanak-kanak seperti di Malaysia, Singapura dan Indonesia contohnya membesar dengan anime dari Jepun. Aku masih lagi ingat beberapa Anime jepun yang terkenal seperti Toriton, Thundercat etc sewaktu aku budak-budak..dan ada yang mampu menembusi pasaran barat...sepatah kata reviewer untuk Laputa, karya Hayao Miyazaki yang jitu membuatkan beliau dicemburui oleh sebilangan besar animator di dunia barat...dan tidak menghairankan apabila beliau memenangi anugerah Academy untuk Spirited Away...

tak puas hati betul - 24 punya pasal

Isk, sejak malam tadi sampailah waktu kat dalam shower room aku memang tak puas hati dengan Presiden Charles Logan tu...kurang asam betul..taktik beliau dengan menjadi seorang Presiden Amerika yang pura-pura bodoh telah menipu banyak orang terutamanya isteri beliau Martha dan penasihatnya Mike..tak puas hati sungguh aku..apa pun aku musti beli laa dvd 244 tu..bagus betul laa idea yang datang dari kepala otak pengarah 24 tu..apa pun aku sertakan profile Jack Bauer, Chloe O'Brian dan Presiden Charles Logan...boleh juga dilihat keterangan lanjut tentang siri 24 di http://www.fox.com/24/ yang begitu hebat menentang pengganas..hahaha..lawaknya...sesungguhnya media mempunyai peranan dan pengaruh cukup besar dalam masyarakat..
