Sorry to hear that you are sick. We have had a fewfine and mild days, but today is 34 degrees and there is afull bushfire alert. Yesterday there was a fire earWilliamstown and today one near Harrogate, but fortunatelythey were contained.Yesterday I heard that I have been awarded a scholarship to do my PhD in Creative Writing. I am so happy. Dr Kate Douglas and Dr Nick Prescott have been appointed as mysupervisors, 80% for Kate and 20% for Nick. I nominated tobegin 22nd Jan 2007 when I return from Tasmania.Sam has decided that he wants to take responsibility forfinding me a kitten, so I will let him choose. I'll let youknow what colour and if Merry is pleased or spitting chips.I saw 'Casino Royale'this morning. It was a good ride.I have not heard from Nora. I hope her thesis is going well.Hope you feel better soon.
